Event Description

As you are aware under the current COVID-19 crisis, many vulnerable groups of patients are without visitors in hospital inpatient settings across Tayside.

As specialists in dementia and neuroprogressive disease research we feel strongly about supporting these groups of patients within our hospitals, many of whom are already under substantial distress during hospital admission. We feel this distress in both patients and their carers/relatives will be greatly increased by the current no visiting policy.

Our aim is to raise as much money as possible to provide additional items suggested by the clinical teams within the applicable inpatient wards of NHS Tayside, such as; tablets/ipads to help reduce feelings of isolation and some basic essentials like toiletries and clothing.

Any spare money that can be donated would be greatly appreciated!  If we are in the position that we can provide enough of these additional items to the wards taking care of these vulnerable groups, then we would love to extend this out to the general hospital funds for distribution across all inpatient settings!

Stay safe everyone, NDN research Tayside x
