Event Description

National Hate Crime Awareness Week #NationalHCAW 2018 is a week of action in October to raise awareness of hate crime, to remember those we have lost and support those who need our ongoing support.

The week aims to encourage local authorities (police and councils) to work with key partners (aniti-hate crime organisations) and communities affected by hate crime to tackle local hate crime issues.

The week is scheduled to take place between the 13th to 20th October this year.

Information is available on our national website:

A small team of volunteers meet every Tuesday to organise and facilitate the national week.

•Designing resources to promote the week.

•Liaising with local authorities, key partners and communities affected by hate crime.

•Registering events and marking them on our national google map.

•Sharing information and signposting advice and support

•Carry out research like our Freedom of Information request to every council last year.

•and much more....

There will be a Service of Hope and Remembrance at St Paul's Cathedral on Sunday 14th October.

Details of the service and free tickets are available here.

We want to raise £2,000 for 17-24-30 No To Hate Crime Campaign so that we can continue raising awareness and tackling hate crime across the UK.
