Leeds Office Charity Challenge
Members of Mills & Reeve’s Leeds office are taking on their very own charity challenge in the form of the Yorkshire Three Peaks. 15 members of the Leeds team have very bravely (or stupidly) decided to take on Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in one day. The team will set off early on Wednesday 26 September and (hopefully) complete all three peaks within 12 hours or at least in time for last orders at the pub!
The challenge requires the participants to cover the same distance as a marathon combined with over 1500 metres (5200 feet in old money) of ascent. In the process, we are aiming to raise as much money as possible for three local charities.
1. Simon on the Streets
Simon on the Streets offers street-based support for those in need. Their team works across Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield providing front-line emotional and practical support for those who need it.
2. Leeds Mencap
Leeds Mencap provides services and activities to improve the lives and opportunities of children and adults with a learning disabilities, along with their families and carers.
3. Leeds Children's Hospital Charity
Leeds Children's Hospital Charity raise vital funds which help support the development of innovative new services, the purchase of cutting-edge equipment and the training of specialist staff.
Please donate what you can to these very worthwhile causes, our feet will be eternally grateful!!
