On Sunday 27th Sept, I will be running the Cheltenham Half Marathon (13.1 miles) in aid of a charity dear to me: Rapha Medica Project.
Rapha Medica Project supports a small skilled and dedicated team who provide vital medical care for a remote community of people in the Mambilla Plateau in North East Nigeria. The team work in a make-shift hospital lead by Nigerian Surgeon Paul and his wife Mary who is a Senoir Nurse and Midwife.
A recently dug borehole and 50,000 litre water tank now supplies clean water to the local community and the hospital.
Rapha provides medical assesment, digonosis, and treatment both at the hospital and in remote villages for those unable to travel. There is no other medical facility within a 7 hours drive.
The team provide antenatel, postnatal and midwifery care as well as midwifery training.
If you would like to sponsor me please click the DONATE button above.
with many thanks Rob
