On Thursday the 31st of July at 5.00pm, a team of graduates will take on the Underground Tube Challenge, aiming to break the world record!
The challenge, to arrive or depart from each of the 270 London Underground Tube Stations within 24 hours! This challenge will not be easy, as the team have to dart from station to station, line to line, enduring the tube during rush hour and beyond! There will be delays, rail replacement buses and the opportunity to dart overground from station to station on Boris Bikes and any other thinkable means of public transport used in our world record attempt.
Why would anyone put themselves through the torture of battling with the London Underground Network for longer than the morning commute? Especially in the peak of summer...
We’re doing this to raise money for an amazing charity, Prospex;
Prospex is an Islington based youth charity that supports young people in achieving their full potential in life. Islington has the 2nd highest child poverty rate in London and is the 8th most deprived borough in England (4th in London). Prospex works with young people who are socially disadvantaged, who may be involved in youth crime, alcohol and drug abuse. Prospex reaches out to these young people to build self esteem, confidence and build long term, stable, one-to-one relationships. Through this outreach Prospex makes a difference to these young people, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
We aim to raise over £1,000 for Prospex, which will help fund the amazing work they do. If you’d like to find out more please visit: http://prospex.org.uk/?page_id=139
