Sadly this year our amazing Grandma, Sheila Smith, lost her battle to Cancer. She was an inspiration and one of the most active and outgoing people we have ever known. She really lived life to the full and will be hugely missed by all. In the later stages of her fight she was so well looked after by Marie Curie Cancer Care who provided Nurses during the night. Grandma made it known how much she appreciated their help as did my family members who took care of her.
Grandma loved a good walk and so to help raise money for Marie Curie, me and two of my Brothers (Matt and Jake) and our Cousin Jack Crumbleholme have decided to do the "3 Peaks Challenge". For those of you who don't know, this is a famous challenge whereby participants must climb to the summit of the tallest mountains in Scotland, Wales and England within 24 hours. We will be climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scarfell Pike on 16th August 2014 and hope to raise £1000!
This is a really good cause and Marie Curie need our support to continue providing the fantastic care to those who are in need of it.
